The Minnesota Vikings decided to start on a clean slate by firing their former general manager and head coach.
Taking their spots are Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Kevin O’Connell.
The latter is fresh from a Super Bowl LVI victory as the Los Angeles Rams’ offensive coordinator.
Therefore, the Vikings expect him to succeed with the system that turned Matthew Stafford, Odell Beckham Jr., and Cooper Kupp into champions.
That could be the reason behind the tweet of Minnesota wide receiver KJ Osborn.
So much in store. We just scratching the surface ! 🚀🚀🚀

Osborn said, “So much in store. We just scratching the surface.”
He had a decent 2021 season with 655 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
His best game came against the Arizona Cardinals, wherein he had 91 yards and a scoring catch.
During Mike Zimmer’s tenure, the Vikings showed potential by making the playoffs three times.
However, they couldn’t sustain their competitiveness, as shown in their record during the seasons when they didn’t make the postseason.
Last season, the Vikings missed out with an 8-9 record.
Under Zimmer, they had two 7-9 seasons, an 8-7-1 mark, and an 8-8 finish.
Osborn and the Vikings hope that O’Connell’s system will help them develop the mentality to close out games.
The Vikings’ Opportunity Is Now
While the Green Bay Packers remain the top team in the NFC North, the Vikings should challenge them for the division title.
All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams isn’t around anymore, meaning Minnesota has the division’s best receiver in Justin Jefferson.
Last season, the former LSU standout finished second in receiving yards with 1,616 and sixth in touchdowns with ten.
He also averaged 15 yards per reception and ranked fourth in receptions with 108.
Meanwhile, Adam Thielen also had solid numbers of 726 yards and ten touchdowns.
Dalvin Cook was also doing damage from the backfield with 1,159 rushing yards and six scores.
O’Connell should make this talented offensive unit work, which might be enough to topple the Packers from the division’s throne.
