When it rains, it pours for the Minnesota Vikings.
Kevin O’Connell’s team continues to be stung by the injury bug, and now their pass rush unit has taken the latest hit.
The team has officially placed star OLB Marcus Davenport on the Injured Reserve (IR) list.

They also activated RB Kene Nwangwu to the 53-man roster, all while WR Jalen Nailor was designated for return and returned to practice.
The 27-year-old star had been struggling with injuries this season, but he managed to play through some of them during their Week 4 win over the Carolina Panthers.
He managed to log two sacks and seven tackles thus far, but he suffered the injury in the win over the Chicago Bears, also hurting his ankle in the meantime.
This team was already without star Justin Jefferson, perhaps the best wide receiver in today’s game.
He’s expected to miss plenty of time and could be back after their bye week.
However, there won’t be that much incentive for him to rush his way back onto the field, as he failed to get the contract he wanted and the Vikings might be way out of playoff contention by the time that happens.
The Vikings weren’t expected to compete at a high level this season or even make a run at the NFC North Division, but injuries haven’t done them any favors either.
