Say what you want about Jimmy Garoppolo but he still helped in the team’s run to the NFC Championship Game.
Therefore, that’s the goal that Lance would like to match or, better yet, surpass.
If the 49ers’ projections are correct, then Lance shouldn’t have any problems surpassing Garoppolo’s achievements.
But before he takes the field as their starter, he has to develop chemistry with his teammates, especially their wide receivers.
He seems to be getting into a good rhythm with Brandon Aiyuk, as shown in this video

Lance is seen completing deep throws to Aiyuk, who ran various routes.
The former North Dakota State standout threw the ball effortlessly, which is a testament to his arm strength.
Meanwhile, Aiyuk could have a breakout season with Lance behind center.
He had 826 yards and five touchdowns in 2021 with Garoppolo as the quarterback.
With Lance, reaching the 1,000-yard milestone should be easy.
Will Lance Get To Play With Deebo Samuel?
Aside from Aiyuk, it would be better if Lance can also have some time with All-Pro wideout Deebo Samuel.
However, arranging that session might not be easy because his trade request is still active.
The 49ers’ front office hasn’t resolved that issue but they have the leverage since Samuel is under contract.
But it would be nice to have his contract extension in place before the 2022 season starts because he is in the final year of his rookie contract.
If both parties can sort that out, Lance will have a potent receiver duo that can help them dominate the opposition.
Add their solid run game and impressive defense into the mix and the 49ers could make another deep playoff run.
