Despite a gut-wrenching 12-11 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night, Shohei Ohtani had himself a night to remember.
The Los Angeles Angels two-way superstar went 3-for-4 at the plate with two home runs and eight RBI.
Ohtani has taken the baseball world by storm ever since arriving on the scene in 2018.
He’s the first player since Babe Ruth to be able to hit home runs consistently and dominate on the mound like a true ace.
Even more impressively, he can do both at the same time.
MLB tweeted a video last night of one of Ohtani’s home runs, which shows the pure excitement this guy brings to the table as he stopped and admired his long drive before casually dropping the bat and making his way around the bases.
Stop and stare, Shohei!

Stop And Stare
Ohtani truly is one of the most exciting players in all of baseball, if not the most exciting player.
Everything he does is impressive.
Every moment is filled with so much electricity and excitement.
Better yet, here’s a guy who just likes to have fun while he’s playing baseball.
They always say, “Let the kids play.”
Ohtani is enjoying every minute of his young Major League career and continuing to impress everybody.
For fans, it’s simply a joy to watch him play and it’s exciting to see him hit home runs, because when you watch him, you see a guy who doesn’t take himself too seriously but puts in the right amount of hard work and effort to be one of the best players in the game.
And when he lets loose, his hard work is rewarded, and he enjoys the moment.
