Jayson Tatum and his Boston Celtics just had a wonderful season.
While it is true that they weren’t able to overcome the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, the team still did spectacularly during the regular season and turned things around in a way not typically seen in the league.
It got a little rockier in the playoffs but they started off with a bang and shut down the Brooklyn Nets.

In fact, the Nets were the only team to be swept in the postseason thanks to the Celtics and their lead star.
Tatum was all over the court in that first round and was making life very hard for Kevin Durant.
A video of Game 2 shows just how much he did to Durant.
Durant is one of the best players in the league and one of the most talented shooters to ever live but he was having a lot of trouble even getting close to the basket because of Tatum.
It was an incredible showing from the young superstar and confirmation that he and his Celtics have arrived in a huge way.
Shutting Down KD
Tatum was tasked with stopping Durant during the first round of the playoffs which is an incredibly hard thing to do.
Durant is a beast during the regular season but he is even more dangerous during the playoffs and has been known to flip a switch and carry his whole team.
That didn’t happen in 2021-22 playoffs, thanks to Tatum.
Tatum understood the assignment and didn’t allow Durant room to breathe.
This was the nail in the coffin for the Nets and it was why they couldn’t make it to the second round.
