Over the last couple of years, Russell Westbrook has taken a beating from fans and the media, especially after his failed stint with the Los Angeles Lakers.
He has been accused of being a stubborn player who is uncoachable and a net negative for his team due to his poor outside shooting and defense.
Westbrook has seemed heartbroken at times over the last two seasons, but he did look good during a recent pickup game, via League Alerts on Twitter.

Not that long ago, Westbrook was considered one of the best players in the NBA.
He won the regular-season MVP award in 2017, and he averaged a triple-double four times in five seasons, which is certainly a stratospheric accomplishment, to say the least.
But his ball-dominant style of play and frantic method of attack seems to be a lid on what his teams can accomplish at the end of the day.
He was traded to the Lakers, the team he grew up rooting for in the Los Angeles area, in 2021, and despite being expected to contend for the NBA title, they missed the play-in.
Westbrook became the fall guy for that failure, and midway through this past season, he was traded to the Utah Jazz, and once the Jazz waived him, he joined the Los Angeles Clippers.
He has seemed somewhat happier and revitalized with the Clippers, but they have an imperfect roster and two injury-prone stars in Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.
The hope is that a full season of a happy Westbrook will finally put the team over the top.
