New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones struggled during their season opener against the Miami Dolphins.
The former Alabama standout finished the game with 21 completions out of 30 attempts for 213 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.
Unfortunately, he suffered a back injury that could cost him his job and force him to miss some games.
However, it feels like Jones is ready to go after participating in team practice.

NBC Sports’ The Camera guys tweeted, “Mac Jones doesn’t look like he’s suffering any ill effects from his back injury. He worked on handshakes with Damien Harris, and then it appears he was racing Matt Patricia at the start of drills.”
However, there is no word yet on Jones’ availability, especially if he will play in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
But seeing him at practice is great news to Patriots fans because he can play anytime.
Steelers Can Be A Nightmare For Jones
Pittsburgh has playmakers in all phases of the defense.
Aside from Cameron Heyward, who leads the push up front, they also have Minkah Fitzpatrick and Ahkello Witherspoon in the secondary.
Myles Jack and Alex Highsmith are some of their starting linebackers.
Even with T.J. Watt sidelined for weeks, Pittsburgh’s defense can still make it tough for Jones to execute.
However, head coach Bill Belichick should find a way to outsmart the Steelers’ defensive prowess.
But the plan will not happen without Jones because he is the one that will put it into action.
Scoring seven points again will not help New England get over the hump.
Otherwise, the Patriots will be staring at an 0-2 hole coming into Week 3.
It would be alarming to see a playoff team from last season fall to that mark.
