For years, people talked about whether LeBron James could break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record and become the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
Kareem’s mark stood for four decades, and it seemed impossible to break, all things considered.
Not even the greats Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan were able to top Kareem’s record, as the big man’s durability was nearly unmatched in NBA history.
But James has proven that age is just a number every day of the week, and he continues to go strong despite being in his 20th season in the league.
It’s crazy to think that we’ve gotten to witness James’ arrival and rise since he was just a kid in 2003.
We watched him take his firstborn son Bronny to court, and then his family grew throughout the years.
So, for sure, one of the most emotional images of James’ historical performance vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder didn’t even come from the court, with Bronny and Bryce Maximus James rooting for their old man from the sidelines.

What’s even crazier is the fact that Bronny is just a couple of years away from taking his talents to the NBA, just like his old man did.
And while they wouldn’t be the first father-son duo to play in the league, there’s a real chance that they could actually play on the same team.
Hell, LeBron could even be a starter while his son comes off the bench!
You may or may not be a fan of LeBron, and that’s fine.
But no one had been this good for this long, and there may never be another athlete as durable as him in our lifetime.
