Every person who follows baseball was probably rooting for New York Yankees star Aaron Judge to break Roger Maris‘ American League record of 61 homers in a single season.
Fans, analysts, MLB insiders, and even rival players were pulling hard for him.
He is a likable guy who does his job almost to perfection and has a lot of respect for the game, so he has made a lot of fans.
His biggest supporters, however, are in his own clubhouse and dugout.
Last night, when he broke the record and established a new one, a beautiful scene took place in Texas.
There was a camera filming the action in the Yankees dugout, and once the ball left Judge’s bat, everybody was on their feet, watching the ball soar and disappear into the Texas night.
When this happened, Judge’s teammates started jumping around and screaming of joy, like little kids.
“The Yankee dugout absolutely lost its mind,” Talkin’ Yanks tweeted, with a video of the moment.

Celebrating Like Kids
Giancarlo Stanton, who was on deck, lifted his arms.
Josh Donaldson left the dugout entirely to watch the ball travel, and Anthony Rizzo was screaming like a mad man.
It was thrilling and exciting to watch, and it tells us one thing: his teammates love Judge and were rooting for him badly.
He is seen as the emotional leader of the clubhouse, and there is no question that, with a .311/.425/.686 and 62 home runs, he is also the on-field leader and best performer.
Now that the pressure is off his shoulders, Judge can actually relax a bit and rest for the playoffs.
He is not in Wednesday’s lineup, so he has a chance to sit back and enjoy his achievement.
