LeBron James is carrying the Los Angeles Lakers at 38 years old.
That’s nothing new for the two-decade veteran, who’s been the best player on his team since being taken first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003.
But as used as he is to this, that doesn’t mean he’s not human or needs to blow off some steam every now and then.
That’s why LeBron wanted to chill during New Year’s eve, playing some Madden at home before his lifelong wife, Savannah, broke in:
“This how you making me bring in the new year?” Savannah jokingly asked on a hilarious video. “Playing Madden? I mean, listen, I’ve been in Atlanta all weekend; I had my birthday celebration, and I had a basketball game. We celebrated my birthday with you, mom… the Ohio State crushing loss, so I gotta get it done!”

It’s been a busy couple of days for The King, that’s for sure.
He’s fresh off putting up 47 points on his 38th birthday in a win against the Atlanta Hawks, and playing without Anthony Davis is a bigger burden than most people his age would be able to handle.
So, yeah, maybe it’s better that he just stays put at home enjoying some video games rather than partying as hard as most NBA players usually do during the Holidays.
Still, this once again proves that James is just like the rest of us, and that includes the wife who doesn’t like watching him sit on the couch and play Madden for hours.
