Regardless of their success — or lack thereof, the Dallas Cowboys have one of the biggest, loudest, most loyal fan bases in the National Football League.
That’s why they’ve often become the butt of the jokes around social media, as their overly-confident statements don’t usually age well.
That might as well be the case again after a clip of dozens of fans chanting ‘We want Niners’ went viral following their road win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

As popular as the Niners are, you better believe there will be plenty of Cowboys fans in attendance at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday night, so there’s a strong chance this won’t be the only time they’re caught in 4K making statements they might regret after the game.
The Cowboys are fresh off beating an 8-9 team and will now hit the road for the second time in two weeks to face a better team on a short week, and that doesn’t bode well for their chances.
Also, we’re talking about a Niners team that ended their season last year and that’s only gotten better ahead of this rematch.
But hey, who knows? Anything can happen in the playoffs, and the Niners will have a rookie quarterback behind center making just his second career playoff start.
So, as much as trolls, analysts, and people online alike would love to make fun of Cowboys nation after this highly-anticipated game, maybe this will be the year they finally get over the hump and put an end to their decades long Super Bowl drought.
