For years, Chris Paul has been trying to win the elusive championship he’s always wanted and his best opportunity could be the 2023-24 NBA season when he suits up for the Golden State Warriors.
Paul was sent to the Washington Wizards in the deal that brought Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns, though the point guard was then routed to Golden State in exchange for Jordan Poole.
Although the Warriors already have their backcourt set with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Paul is still expected to start and play a sizable role for the 2022 NBA Champions.
With training camp less than a month away, all eyes will be on Golden State as they try to integrate a ball-dominant guard like Paul into their offensive scheme.
Steve Kerr has always prioritized ball movement and spacing, so it will be interesting to see how he utilizes Paul who prefers to run pick and rolls and make most of the decisions in half-court sets.
Until then, though, Paul has been enjoying the offseason as he spent some time recently with his friend Dwyane Wade via Jim Ice.

Paul can be seen telling the camera to check out Wade’s outfit and the latter takes the joke in stride as he smiles.
The two are later filmed sharing an embrace and laughing, clearly enjoying each other’s company.
Paul and Wade have been friends dating back to their playing days and it’s always good to see them off the court together.
However, it won’t be long before Paul has to focus and get back into basketball mode.NEXT: Draymond Green Comments On Warriors' Shortcomings Last Season
