The San Francisco Giants finally got a top free agent this week, when they agreed to terms with shortstop Carlos Correa on a 13-year, $350 million contract.
Ever since he was drafted with the number one pick by the Houston Astros, it was evident Correa was destined for big things.
Fast forward ten years from that moment, and he has a World Series ring, two additional Fall Classic appearances, 18 postseason home runs (one of the highest numbers of all time for a shortstop) and the love and respect of a whole fan base.
He is about to start a new journey to earn that love and respect from Giants fans.
The only thing missing in his resume was a long-term contract to secure his future and that of his family and loved ones.
He just got that from San Francisco, so he had a big reason to celebrate.
It’s Time To Celebrate
An Instagram video showed him sharing smiles, high fives, and hugs with his family upon receiving the news that he will be the owner of $350 million.
“Carlos Correa appears to be celebrating some good news with his family,” SF Giants on NBCS tweeted, with the clip.

Positive life-changing news is worth celebrating, especially with the ones that supported your quest for a dream since you were a little kid.
What Correa just achieved is the best-case scenario for young kids playing the game around the world: earning enough to make a living out of what you love and take care of your loved ones.
He earned his contract with performance (a career .836 OPS with phenomenal defense and playoffs pedigree) and a lot of hard work.
It’s time to relax and celebrate.
Come spring training, he will be counted on to lead the Giants on their quest to the postseason.
