There’s a reason that Bill Belichick is one of the NFL’s best coaches.
The New England Patriots have had sustained success in the NFL for the past 20 years, both due to the elite quarterback play of Tom Brady, and the stellar coaching of Belichick.
Belichick’s coaching style and the continued success of the Patriots have inspired many throughout the years, including opposing players and teams.

In this video, Belichick is seen talking with Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
The Patriots had just beaten the Cardinals on Monday night, 27-13.
After this video surfaced, many around the league wondered if Hopkins might take his talents to New England.
If he was so inclined, Hopkins could ask out of his contract with the Cardinals in 2023, although it would carry a dead cap hit of over $22 million.

Is landing Hopkins even a realistic possibility for the Patriots?
The Patriots drafted quarterback Mac Jones in the 2021 NFL Draft with the 15th overall pick.
Since being a member of the Patriots, Jones’ receivers have been Jakobi Meyers, DeVante Parker, Nelson Agholor, and Kendrick Bourne.
None of these players are to the caliber of a player like Hopkins.
Although it is certainly a pipe dream for the Patriots to acquire Hopkins in the offseason, the fact that he and Belichick already have an established rapport increases the odds, slightly.
Having Hopkins on the roster could boost Jones’ confidence moving forward.
Will the Patriots make a huge offseason move for Hopkins?
We will have to see what Belichick has up his sleeve.
