The offseason is just about over for the Brooklyn Nets and fans are breathing a huge sigh of relief.
That’s because both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have returned to the team, despite numerous trade demands, rumors, and speculation over the last few months.
There is hope that the tough times are behind them and that these two can come together, improve the team’s chances of postseason glory, and live up to their potential.

Both Durant and Irving were on the floor the other night before a preseason game.
They were goofing around, joking with each other, and smiling prior to tip-off.
It appears that both Durant and Irving look very happy to be back in Brooklyn.
Will they stay happy and will their joy translate into the sort of wins needed to become contenders in the East?

The Nets just don’t work unless both Durant and Irving want to be there and are in sync and working as a unit.
These are two of the best players in the NBA but if they aren’t seeing eye-to-eye and playing as a cohesive pair, the team falls apart.
We have seen that again and again as Brooklyn struggled without Irving last season and then completely collapsed without both Irving and Durant.
Now both players are back, healthy, and seemingly happy.
This presents the team with a brilliant opportunity for greatness.
The rest of the strong roster also bolsters Brooklyn’s chance of achieving the sort of strength that has been promised to fans since Durant and Irving joined the team a few seasons ago.
After all the time, the team is truly ready to make fans happy.
