Things are looking up for the San Francisco 49ers.
They were moments away from playing in Super Bowl LVI but the division rival Los Angeles Rams had other plans.
The team is also giving the keys of the franchise to Trey Lance who they traded up for in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Likewise, they continue to have a solid defensive unit that can shut down any team if they all remain injury-free.
However, they encountered some drama during the offseason when wide receiver Deebo Samuel asked for a trade.
Allegedly, he did not like the way he was being used on offense.
Despite that sentiment, he had over 1,405 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
He also established an NFL record for most rushing touchdowns by a wide receiver in a season with eight.
But he would rather focus on being a wideout than being an option in the 49ers’ zone run scheme.
It looks like he and the team’s front office are already looking eye to eye with this video.

Samuel was seen doing sprints during the team’s mandatory minicamp.
Perhaps the franchise’s think tank heard his sentiments and is willing to listen.
If everything goes well, 49ers fans will see more of him running all over the field while leaving defenders behind.
Samuel’s Extension Is Top Priority For The 49ers
Aside from letting him do what he does best, the Niners should be ready to offer Samuel a mega-extension.
General manager John Lynch declared that they are willing to meet his price which has escalated given the deals signed by Tyreek Hill and Davante Adams.
Samuel is in the final year of his rookie contract and is not eligible for a fifth-year option because he was drafted in the second round.
Therefore, the clock is ticking for San Francisco and they must get a deal done ideally before the season starts.
