Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets might not be everyone’s cup of tea but you cannot deny that the man can play some incredible basketball.
It’s true that he is sometimes best known for nasty headlines and bizarre opinions but Irving is still one of the greatest point guards alive.

He has shown that many times, from his Finals win with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 to some of his recent games with the Nets.
For example, just last season Irving dropped 60 points on the Orlando Magic during one game.
Will he be able to do that again in the new season?
Irving In Charge
If Irving can play like this – or even close to it – in 2022-23 then the Nets have a good chance of righting their wrongs and being the team they say they can be.
If Irving and the rest of his team do not deliver then his days in Brooklyn may be over.
He ended up re-signing with the Nets in the summer after much speculation and rumor but he will not stick around again if the Nets continue to flounder.
The word on the street is that he would cross the country and join LeBron James with the Los Angeles Lakers.
But any number of teams would be lucky to have Irving because of his ability.
However, many don’t want to deal with him because of all the excess baggage and controversy that he brings wherever he goes.
If you are judging Irving solely on his basketball skills, there are few guards in the same league as him.
His 60-point onslaught against the Magic is a prime and recent example of that.
