Fans of the Brooklyn Nets were feeling very scared on Halloween because their team was on the verge of falling to a 1-6 record.
The team had just been taken down by the Indiana Pacers a couple of days ago and they were set to face off against them again at Barclays Center.
Seeing the team slip again and secure such a sad win-loss record would have left a very sour taste in the mouths of all Nets fans.

But Nets followers fell asleep happy on Monday night because Brooklyn beat the Pacers 116-109.
This was a much-needed win, both for fans and players.
It gave everyone some hope and reminded them the team can be competitive – as long as Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are playing well.
Irving and Durant put their fingerprints all over Monday’s win.
Durant scored 36 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists while the controversial Irving put up 28 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Watching a highlight reel of the game shows viewers both Durant and Irving playing with grace and skill again and again all night long.
Doing What They Do
What is perhaps most remarkable about Durant and Irving from Monday is just how predictably they played.
This isn’t an insult – both Durant and Irving were playing the same sort of basketball they have for years, using the same moves, taking the same shots, and playing at the same speed they always have.
Yet, the Pacers just didn’t have an answer for either star.
This shows just how incredible both stars are: they have reached a level where they cannot be slowed down even after years of being studied by opponents.
The Nets have a long way to go to get better but Monday night was a step in the right direction.
