Trayce Thompson knows a thing or two about playing with some winning ballclubs.
The Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder and brother of Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson will be suiting up for Great Britain in the World Baseball Classic.
They’ll face Team USA in their first game on Saturday night and will have to contend with Adam Wainwright.
However, Thompson wasn’t about to prepare for the game without sharing a message with his teammates.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Thompson shared a very important message, saying that anything can happen in baseball and that his teammates should embrace the moment.
Trayce Thompson's message to Team Great Britain teammates: "Just embrace the moment, because you never know what can happen. I was on a team (LA Dodgers) that won 111 games last year, and we were out in four games. Anything can happen. It's the beautiful thing about this game.''

Thompson went on to talk about how the Dodgers won 111 games last season and were knocked out in the first round by the San Diego Padres.
Thompson was of course a part of that team and experienced the playoff heartache.
But his message was that anything can happen and that sometimes, that’s the beauty of baseball.
Baseball is a funny game, and some interesting things can certainly happen.
The Dodgers being eliminated in the NLDS by the Padres is a perfect example of such things.
Great Britain will most likely not be favored to win the matchup with Team USA.
But Team USA experienced a wild ride back in 2017, when the tournament was last played, proving that the game of baseball is a fickle one, and that strange things can take place.
Thompson’s message is certainly inspiring, and we’ll see if the stars on Great Britain’s team take it to heart.
