The Kansas City Chiefs were the NFL’s highest-scoring team this season.
While many attribute this to the greatness of Patrick Mahomes, he has a partner on offense that many regard as one of the best offensive weapons in the league.
Yesterday, Mahomes took the support of this player to a new level.

Travis Kelce has been one of the most dominant tight ends in the NFL for the last several seasons.
Mahomes contended that Kelce is not just one of the best current tight ends, but one of the best tight ends in NFL history.
Kelce has played in 144 career games.
In those games, he has racked up 10,344 yards, 69 touchdowns, and 814 receptions.
He is fourth all-time in tight end yards, fourth in receptions, and sixth in touchdowns.
If he continues at this pace, assuming that he keeps playing, Kelce will likely surpass Tony Gonzalez in career yards.
Gonzalez has been widely regarded as the league’s best-ever tight end but could be passed by Kelce in the next few seasons.
Among all pass-catchers in 2022, Kelce had the third-most receptions, was eighth in total yards, and was second in total touchdowns.
Kelce and the Chiefs have forever changed the tight end position.
Although blocking tight ends still exist, Kelce was one of the first at the position to establish himself as a pass-catcher first and blocker second.
Tight ends around the league like George Kittle and Mark Andrews have tried to emulate what Kelce has done, but, at least to this point, they have not been successful in that regard.
