The Portland Trail Blazers trading Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks has started a new era in the city.
In a three-team trade, the Trail Blazers received Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, Jrue Holiday, and multiple draft picks.
The star of the return was none other than the former first-overall draft pick, Deandre Ayton.
Ayton was extremely unhappy while being a member of the Phoenix Suns and has seemingly found a new joy for the game of basketball after the trade.
The official Twitter handle of the Trail Blazers posted a video featuring Ayton and Camara’s arrival at the training facility.

Ayton looked extremely happy to be in Portland.
At one point in the video, he even compared the feeling to getting drafted again.
Moreover, Ayton was smiling throughout the video, which is a good sign for the organization.
It feels like Ayton will finally tap into his true potential and become one of the top centers in the game in the 2023-24 season.
One key takeaway from the clip was the absence of Holiday from the video.
Holiday was sent as the main piece by the Bucks to acquire Lillard.
While Jrue may have been traded to the Trail Blazers, he’s not expected to stay with the franchise for long.
Keeping that in mind, it’s only obvious that the introductory video of the new players didn’t feature Holiday.
It won’t be a surprise if a trade news featuring Holiday makes headlines pretty soon.
