The Los Angeles Clippers were looking for a victory against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday night and it seemed like they might get it.
LA was up 11 points in the 4th quarter and were on their way to snapping a 5-game losing streak.
But then Trae Young of the Hawks got hot and, as we all know, it’s hard to stop him when he’s shooting well.

In the end, Young scored the final 8 points for the Hawks and ended the game with 30 points and 8 assists.
More importantly, he helped lead his team to a much-needed win and gave the Clippers their sixth loss in a row.
This was a great showing from Young, who has had one heck of a season so far.
Not only have his percentages been a bit down from previous seasons, but he has also attracted controversy and there has been a lot of reporting of behind-the-scenes drama for him and his team.
In fact, rumors of Young demanding a trade after this season have been flying all over.
He didn’t look like a player hoping to be traded on Sunday – quite the opposite was true and he performed like someone who was intent on leading his team and turning things around for them.
The Hawks will need Young to keep being clutch if they wish to reverse their current fortunes.
Atlanta is currently the 10th team in the East and their 19-21 record is far from what they wanted or expected.
The team has most of its stars but they are still lacking Clint Capela who is out with a calf injury.
Their next few games will be tough ones so they will have to battle hard to overcome teams like the Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers, Dallas Mavericks, and more.
Will Young continue to shoot as well as he did Sunday night?
