Kansas City Royals prospect Bobby Witt Jr. has a bright future ahead of him.
He’s got a sweet swing and tremendous power, and he looks like the next best thing coming to Major League Baseball.
You might even say he looks like the next coming of Mike Trout.
Mike Trout?
Could there be a second coming of such a talented player like Trout?
Is that even possible?
The answer might actually be yes.
MLB tweeted a video of Witt hitting a home run side by side with a video of Trout hitting a home run.
If one looks closely enough, the two players’ swings look almost identical.
.@BwittJr's swing sure looks a lot like @MikeTrout's. 👀

The Next Coming Of Mike Trout?
This has to be good news for the Royals.
Witt is an exciting young prospect who’s got a nice swing and can put a dent in a baseball.
It’s short and compact and looks almost exactly like Trout’s swing.
Obviously, Trout turned into the face of baseball in a matter of just a few years, if that’s any indication of what Witt is capable of.
The 21-year-old prospect is off to a good start this spring too.
In just seven at-bats, Witt is hitting .429.
Of course, this is just spring training, but it could be an indication of what the future holds for him.
After all, he was a Futures Game Selection in 2021, as well as a Baseball America Minor League All-Star and an MiLB Organization All-Star.
He was also the second pick in the 2019 MLB Draft.
We’ll see what else Witt can do, but if he stays hot and his swing continues to resemble that of Trout, the future is bright for this young man.
