Tommy Edman is one of 17 players within the St. Louis Cardinals organization to take part in the World Baseball Classic this spring.
Edman will be representing Team Korea and is reuniting with a former Cardinals teammate of his in left-hander Kwang Hyun Kim.
Early on Monday, the star infielder and former Gold Glover made a nice play to back up his former Cardinals teammate, ranging to his right and sliding to make an impressive snag before throwing to first to get the out.
The video of the highlight can be found in the tweet below.

Edman was one of five Cardinals to win a Gold Glove in 2021.
He is set to take the reins at the shortstop position for the Cardinals this season, but he can play almost any position on the diamond, with the exception of the pitcher and catcher positions.
He was at second base for this play.
But Edman is known for flashing the leather.
Having learned from former Cardinal and two-time Gold Glove second baseman Kolten Wong, Edman is quite the defensive genius himself and is capable of making some very impressive plays such as this one.
And Kim just so happened to be on the mound at that moment, so Edman was able to help out an old friend in the process.
This certainly has to have Cardinals fans feeling good about where things stand with their infield.
Next to Edman is Gold Glover Brendan Donovan.
We can certainly expect some more flashy plays such as this from Edman as the Classic progresses.
