The Tampa Bay Buccaneers veteran QB Tom Brady is showing what it’s like to play for 23 years in the NFL.
While the seven-time Super Bowl champ still has it, he’s not the same this season.
With Brady recently turning 45, he’s asking for something from the Buccaneers this season.
So what is he asking for, and how is it affecting his 23rd year in the NFL?
Brady Asks For Wednesday’s Off From Doing Anything Football Related
Everyone needs some time off from the exhausting work during an NFL season.
However, Brady hasn’t taken days off until this season.
With him back for one more year, he comes back asking for Wednesdays off.

After putting in 22 seasons without that “veteran rest,” he’s getting the rest he deserves.
But it also shows how much his comeback is taking its toll on him.
No longer is he always on the field, as he’s getting time off.
However, something happened that has thrown everyone for a loop.
Brady Shows Up To Practice After Being Given The Day Off
The veteran Buccaneers QB loves keeping people on their toes.
While he has defended his time off, this Wednesday, Brady was at practice.

However, this could be Brady’s way of showing he’s still elite, despite some questioning his abilities at 45-years-old.
He’s always been a person willing to defy the odds and pundants.
With some saying he needs time off, he’s making a special appearance to show he doesn’t need the time off.
But he still gets time off, which he might use later in the NFL season.
Brady’s Sunday Night Opener Showed He Doesn’t Want To Keep Taking Hits
While the veteran QB deserves his one day off, he might need it from the hits he’s taking this season.
During the first game of the NFL season, the veteran QB was sacked twice in red zone drives.
However, those sacks didn’t set well with Brady.

After yelling at his linemen, they stepped up and put an end to the sacks.
It shows Brady isn’t the same, as his age isn’t allowing him to keep taking hits.
But if the line can continue to protect him, then maybe the G.O.A.T. won’t need his one day off.
At 45-Years-Old, Brady’s Already Earned His Keep
No other quarterback in NFL history has done what Brady continually does each season.
He’s the current ironman of the NFL, as he’s still elite at his age.
While many players retire early, the savvy veteran has outlasted many talented players.
Elite players drafted with and after Brady are now retired, while the Buccaneers QB still plays football.
Drew Brees and Eli Manning, two Super Bowl quarterbacks drafted after the Bucs QB, are enjoying retirement.
Yet, the seven-time Super Bowl champ is still showing he’s the best at his age.
After so many years in the NFL, he’s deserves time off if he wants it.
He doesn’t need to come in everyday to practice.
However, that won’t stop him from showing he can still practice every day if he wants.
