The Tampa Bay Buccaneers can dream big again after Tom Brady announced his return for a 23rd NFL season.
His retirement lasted only 40 days and the Buccaneers kept the door open even if he considered stepping away from the game.
With the 44-year-old quarterback at the helm, the team’s chances of winning Super Bowl LVII have improved.
After all, Brady threw for 5,316 yards and 43 touchdowns.
While it’s clear that the Michigan alum isn’t remotely done from playing football, one part of his announcement confused former NFL linebacker Will Compton.
Dude has played 22 seasons, won 7 Super Bowls, has 5 Super Bowl MVPs, 3 NFL MVPs, made 15 Pro Bowls and said “Unfinished Business”
Man what?! 😂

Compton tweeted, “Dude has played 22 seasons, won 7 Super Bowls, has 5 Super Bowl MVPs, 3 NFL MVPs, made 15 Pro Bowls and said ‘Unfinished Business.’ Man what?!”
Compton played for five NFL teams in nine seasons, and he’s now the co-host of Barstool Sports’ Bussin with the Boys with Tennessee Titans’ offensive tackle Taylor Lewan.
However, he does have a point regarding the “unfinished business” part, given all the accomplishments he’s had throughout his career.
Perhaps he wants to go out on top like how Peyton Manning ended his career with the Denver Broncos.
He was close to doing that feat last year, but Matt Gay‘s last-second field goal eliminated the Buccaneers in the Divisional Round.
Now that he’s returning, Brady wants nothing less than his eighth Super Bowl.
Brady Scratches The Competitive Itch
For intense competitors like Brady, what matters most are the next achievements.
They don’t let their previous accolades define them and that’s what motivates them to keep on chasing achievements.
Likewise, perhaps he wants another Super Bowl victory in Tampa Bay to solidify their status throughout the franchise history.
Winning another title with practically the same group of guys will make them immortals within the franchise because they proved that their Super Bowl LV win was no fluke.
