The Tennessee Titans have established themselves as a unique brand of football.
While the majority of NFL franchises have adopted a pass-first offense, the Titans have stuck to an opposite approach.
Last season, they drafted Malik Willis, a quarterback who is prone to take off on the run.
They still have Derrick Henry on the roster, who is one of the only “old school” running backs left in the league.
During a press conference at the combine, the Titans’ general manager confirmed that their rushing tendencies will continue in 2023.

Ran Carthon is the Titans’ general manager.
In his statement seen above, he claims that “the teams that play in January play tough defense and run the football.”
When taking a look back at the 2022 season, this wasn’t necessarily the case.
The two Super Bowl teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, both got to the title game in different ways.
The Eagles were one of the most dominant rushing offenses in the league, running for the fifth-most yards per game in the league.
On the other hand, the Chiefs had a lackluster rushing attack, as they had the 18th-most yards per game.
However, even though they lacked rushing yards, the Chiefs had no shortage of offensive production.
The Chiefs led the league in passing yards per game and were a full 26 yards per game ahead of the next closest team.
It appears that teams can win in today’s NFL with either style of play.
