If you paid attention to the NBA during the very busy offseason then you know that a big thing happened for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
When the Timberwolves traded for Rudy Gobert, the hope was that that change would make them immediately serious playoff contenders.
After years of flirting with being in the postseason regularly, the T-Wolves were now set to be one of the most dominant, biggest, and most powerful teams in the East.
That was the hope, anyway.
The team is the 11th in its conference right now, with a lacking 17-21 record.
And there have been multiple rumors of strife inside the locker room and front office.
D'Angelo Russell retweeted a cryptic Fred VanVleet quote tweet about betting on yourself and has unfollowed the Timberwolves on Instagram. pic.twitter.com/41QnV2M8lU

Those rumors are set to get even bigger now.
Additionally, the star guard also unfollowed his own team on Instagram.
The quote in question read, “Bet on yourself.”
All of this has led fans of the Timberwolves to think that perhaps Russell is ready to move on.
People will surely point to this and say that it suggests some big changes on the horizon for Minnesota.
There have been other rumors around the team, about Karl-Anthony Towns particularly.
Needless to say, some people are expecting some adjustments if the season doesn’t turn around in a big way.
Time is not on their side because, as noted, people were expecting very big things from Minnesota this year.
If they don’t do very well and have a powerful playoff run, the fans will be calling for those rumored changes.
