The Minnesota Timberwolves are doing better than they have in years.
They are about to enter the play-in tournament against the Los Angeles Clippers, with home-court advantage, and have a real shot at actually making the playoffs after years and years of missing them.
They still have a ways to go before they are capable of winning the Finals but the T-Wolves have come a long way.
And the Timberwolves’ organization is thanking the crew that made it happen.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are signing head coach Chris Finch and his coaching staff to new multiyear contract extensions, sources tell me and @JonKrawczynski. Finch led the T’Wolves to a 46-36 season, 7th seed in West and home court in the Play-In Tournament.

Head coach Chris Finch and his entire coach staff are being signed to new multi-year deals with the team.
This is a huge sign of support from the Timberwolves’ front office and shows that there is serious faith in this group.
It means that you are going to be seeing Finch and his crew for the foreseeable future.
That’s good news for all fans of the Timberwolves.
What’s Next For The Timberwolves?
While being the seventh seed with a 46-36 record is quite special after years of totally missing the playoffs, there is no doubt the team wants to do even better.
They have some of the most exciting players in the West – specifically Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell, and Anthony Edwards – so there is reason to believe they aren’t even close to their ceiling.
Finch and his team are well aware of that and they want to keep growing that core – while possibly adding to it.
With the recent success of the team, there is a chance that Minnesota can maybe land a couple of other big names from around the league.
Who wouldn’t want to play on a team that’s on the rise?
Before they can think of the future, Finch and the T-Wolves need to focus on the task at hand: taking down the Clippers and carving out a spot in the playoffs.
