The Minnesota Timberwolves are starting to have a bad habit of declaring victory before it’s truly theirs.
Last week, the T-Wolves were up by double-digits against the Memphis Grizzlies and were all but dancing on the sidelines.
They gave up that lead in a humiliating twist of fate.
On Tuesday night, Minnesota did it again: they were up at the beginning of the fourth and on their way to a huge, pivotal win.

But when the game ended, the Timberwolves lost in a heartbreaking fashion, giving away Game 5 of the first round.
As you can imagine, fans of the Grizzlies were more than happy to flood the internet with pictures of Karl-Anthony Towns celebrating when he thought he was about to win.
That’s quite the painful way to rub it in.
One Loss Away
The Grizzlies-Timberwolves series is now 3-2 in Memphis’ favor.
That means that Minnesota is just one painful loss away from ending their season.
Therefore, the next game is literally make-or-break and the Wolves will need to play as if everything is on the line.
The team has been pretty tough for the Grizzlies at times.
Few people expected Minnesota to put up such a fight.
It just goes to show that this team, even with its faults, is the real deal and will be a presence in the West for some time.
However, Timberwolves fans are upset by how close they’ve come multiple times.
Giving up wins in the playoffs is a huge misstep that can cost teams everything.
If Minnesota had kept those few leads, then this series would be over by now.
Instead, it’s now moving onto Game 6 and the Timberwolves have their backs against the wall.
