With the World Baseball Classic making its return in the spring of 2023, Team USA, the defending champions, have made yet another important addition.
Tim Anderson of the Chicago White Sox has committed to play for Team USA in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
Anderson will join a star-studded roster under manager Mark DeRosa, one that features Bryce Harper, J.T. Realmuto, Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, Nolan Arenado, Paul Goldschmidt, Cedric Mullins, Trevor Story, and Pete Alonso.
Anderson is out with a torn ligament in his thumb and may miss the rest of the 2022 season, but he should be good to go for the Classic when spring comes around.

Anderson “All In” For Classic
This is yet another huge addition.
Team USA is going to have a stacked roster as they look to defend their title from 2017.
Anderson announced today that he was “all in.”
Anderson will bring great energy to Team USA.
They’ll have yet another guy who leaves it all out on the field and is a true ambassador for the game of baseball, with a boisterous, fun-loving personality.
Anderson is a player that enjoys playing baseball and will definitely be a big part of Team USA.
The 29-year-old former batting champion is hitting .301 this season with six home runs and 25 RBI.
Anderson is the first player from the White Sox to announce their commitment to Team USA.
More talented stars are sure to follow in Anderson’s footsteps as he joins the defending champions of the World Baseball Classic.
Team USA won it all in 2017, but the Classic was postponed in 2021 due to the ongoing COVID pandemic.
But it’s time to get excited for the Classic again.
Team USA is going to be loaded.
