On a beautiful Thursday afternoon, fans in all walks of life geared up in Tigers’ navy and orange and made their way to Comerica Park to witness Cabrera’s potential milestone.

The entire city is anticipating the historic moment and showed up in full force to see their superstar make some history.

Detroit Is Ready

This is cool to see.

Detroit has grown to love Cabrera ever since he came over in a trade from the Florida Marlins.

He has had an illustrious career that is worthy of a first ballot Hall-of-Fame selection.

Most of that success has come while Cabrera has been in Detroit.

He has grown into one of the best hitters in the business and given Tigers fans many unforgettable moments.

He’s been a part of several great Tiger teams as well.

But fans want to see one thing and one thing only today: Cabrera picking up hit No. 3,000.

Even if he doesn’t do it today, the city of Detroit will have a weekend series against the Colorado Rockies where fans can come out and show support for their franchise player.

But fans are ready to erupt in what is sure to be an emotionally powerful moment.

Detroit loves Cabrera, and it would be something special for him to pick up his 3,000th hit in front of the home fans.
