A press conference recently concluded with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
What We Know
Tiger Woods was alone in his vehicle, a 2021 Genesis GV80.
There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.
The area where the accident occurred is a downhill sloped road which is the site of many accidents.
Speed limit for the stretch of road is 45 miles per hour.
Weather was not a factor in the accident.
His vehicle reportedly rolled over from front to back.
Other Details
A neighbor heard the accident and called 911.
When authorities arrived on the scene, they found Tiger to be conscious and stable.
He was wearing his seatbelt.
The interior cabin of the vehicle was intact.
All of the airbags deployed.
As is normal protocol, Tiger was loaded onto a backboard with collar and splints.
He was transported to the nearest trauma center, Harbor/UCLA.
What Is Not True
Prior reporting said that the “jaws of life” were used to extricate Woods from the vehicle.
That was corrected at the press conference.
An axe was required and another tool, but the jaws of life were not needed or used.
Investigation Is Pending
There were no skid marks at the scene.
First responders found no indication of impairment.
As a result, no blood was drawn at the scene.
Speed Could Be A Factor
Because the investigation is ongoing, no one could commit to a definitive cause.
However, there are a high rate of accidents in this area normally attributed to speed.
Some of them are fatal.

TMZ Reports
According to TMZ, Tiger was staying at the same hotel (not disclosed) where the show “Grown-ish” was being filmed.
Reportedly, Tiger was seen driving his vehicle at a high rate of speed out of the hotel parking lot at around 7:00 am PST Tuesday morning.
It is also reported that Tiger nearly hit the director’s vehicle as he was leaving the hotel parking lot.
He was delayed leaving the parking lot by a vehicle loading luggage, and TMZ eyewitness accounts say he was “agitated and impatient”.
Tiger Woods is one of the greatest golfers of all time.
We recently saw him on the course as a doting dad with his son Charlie at the PNC Father Son Challenge in Orlando over the weekend of December 19.
I just want to see this again for Tiger Woods 🙏 pic.twitter.com/GD0Ep6Dplt

The 45 year old has won 15 Major Titles.
He trails only Jack Nicklaus who has 18.
Tiger just concluded hosting The Genesis Invitational Tournament at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California on February 21.
He recently revealed that he had a fifth back surgery on December 23.
As a result, he was unsure if he would be ready for the Masters in April.
At this point, we hope Tiger Woods can make a full recovery.
If we are blessed to see him golf again, that is a bonus.
