Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder has been playing in the NBA since 2018.
That being said, he is not necessarily a household name.
But he should be because the young man is having the best season of his career.
He is playing so well, in fact, that he has turned the Thunder into must-see TV for those wanting fun, exciting, explosive NBA basketball.

Gilgeous-Alexander is definitely in contention for an All-Star spot with the season he’s been having.
He’s been on fire lately and has averaged 30.8 points in his last five games.
He scored 30 against the New York Knicks, 31 against the Denver Nuggets, 30 against the Chicago Bulls, 32 against the Houston Rockets, and, finally, 31 against the New Orleans Pelicans.
It’s gotten to the point where people are just assuming pure greatness from Gilgeous-Alexander every night.
And he’s been providing that again and again.
Rolling With The Thunder
Gilgeous-Alexander has been great for some time but he has ascended even higher in 2022-23.
His average in 2021-22 was 24.5 points, 5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists.
This year, the Canadian guard is averaging 31.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists.
He is sinking 50.6% of all his field goal attempts and 91.9% of his free throws too.
Sure, the Thunder are still struggling to even compete for a play-in spot but Gilegous-Alexander is having unparalleled success.
This has led many to speculate that perhaps he could be packing his bags in the future and heading to another team, taking his talents to a franchise that could net him a ring.
The Toronto Raptors have apparently been keeping close tabs on how happy or unhappy Gilgeous-Alexander is in OKC.
Based on the way he’s been playing and the smile on his face every night, he seems quite content for the time being.
