Thunder Rookies Recreate An Iconic Meme

Things might be a tad bit confusing in the Oklahoma City Thunder locker room next season.

The Thunder were all over the NBA Draft the other night, securing multiple picks throughout the night.

Of course, they selected the number two pick, Chet Holmgren, but that was just the start of their night.

They walked away with four draft picks, including two athletes who have a lot in common.

With their number 12 pick, the Thunder selected Jalen Williams.

Then, just a little while later, they used their number 34 pick to choose Jaylin Williams.

Yes, they drafted both Jalen Williams and Jaylin Williams.

Two different spellings, one singular name, and one hilarious meme recreation.

Because of their shared names, the rookies did their best impression of a very popular Spider-Man meme that has become iconic online.

It’s great to see the two people poke fun at their situation but will they become true superheroes for their new team?

Winning With Williams

The two Williams’ seem to get along quite well and have mentioned they enjoy playing together and getting to know one another.

That’s good because team chemistry is going to be very vital moving forward.

The Thunder have been a work in progress for years now and fans are eager to see them finally turn things around.

With their multiple 2022 draft picks – and the ones that have come in the years before – it could be time for the Thunder to once again make some noise.

Both Williams and Williams will be part of that noise.

There is no doubt that the squad is young, energetic, and full of a winning mentality.

But do they have what it takes to get it together, use their heads as well as their hearts, and finally return to the playoffs?
