It might be too soon for the Oklahoma City Thunder to have a powerful playoff run but there is no doubt that the team has some exciting prospects on the roster.
The most exciting is, of course, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
So far this season, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 30.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists a game on 50.1% from the field.
He’s undoubtedly the best player on his team, one of the best in his conference, and possibly on the way to his first All-Star Game.
He’s also surpassing other players who have been called some of the most incredible alive.

Did you know that Gilgeous-Alexander has actually scored more total points than both Paul Goerge and Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers combined?
In 2022-23, Gilgeous-Alexander has scored 1,114 points while George has made 712 and Leonard has scored 312.
This shows just how explosive Gilgeous-Alexander has been this year.
Of course, his team is still not ready to reach their next level of greatness.
The Thunder are currently 13th in the West with an 18-22 record.
It wasn’t supposed to be this way but their rookie phenom Chet Holmgren was injured in the summer and will miss out on his first year.
That means the team is short-handed and even with Gilgeous-Alexander’s greatness, they are still struggling to break through.
However, fans are excited for what the upcoming seasons may bring – with Gilgeous-Alexander, Holmgren, Josh Giddey, and other up-and-comers shaking things up and making names for themselves.
Some fear that Gilgeous-Alexander might be departing from his team if it doesn’t find success soon.
But he has said he is there to stay and wants to make something special in Oklahoma City.
However, he’s already making something special every night.
