It’s Valentine’s Day.
A day to be with your significant other, or your dearest friends.
Today will be a special date for those who share something in common: a bond, a feeling, or even love for something.
Baseball fans have lots of things to celebrate, too: MLB is around the corner, as spring training will begin on Wednesday for most teams.
One of them is the New York Yankees.
The most successful franchise in the sport has joined the Valentine’s Day fever and sent out some really cool cards for fans to dedicate to a beloved person.

“We liked you right off the bat:” that’s clever, isn’t it?
The cards are even better.
“Have a different Valentine? No way, Jose”: how can you not be romantic about baseball, about the Yankees, and about star framer Jose Trevino?
These cards were made to steal a smile or two from us.
“Say Gley! (I love you).”
Love is definitely in the air today!
Of course, “Gley” is Gleyber Torres, the Yanks’ starting second baseman and one of the keys to their season.
DJ LeMahieu‘s card may be the best of the bunch own.
Imagine asking a person you like the following line: “Are you a DJ? ’cause you make my heart skip a beat.”
If that doesn’t make the other person laugh at least a little bit, then they don’t have a sense of humor at all!
All kidding aside, these are a clever way to say both “hey, I’m thinking of you,” and “I’m a huge Yankees fan”.
