The New York Yankees may have gone 14 years without a World Series championship, but there is no denying that they are always competitive.
In fact, they haven’t registered a losing season since 1992.
Let that sink in.
They are continually among the best teams in baseball, and have dominated many opponents over the years.
Thanks to the always reliable folks at Codify Baseball, we can see that they are utterly dominant against two particular AL Central foes.

What the Bombers have done to the Kansas City Royals since 1998 is incredibly impressive: a 124-52 record.
Granted, the Royals haven’t been good aside from a three-year period from 2013 to 2015, but still, that’s a video-game record with the opposition set to “Easy”.
The Yankees’ success against the Minnesota Twins is well-documented.
They not only have a 118-55 record against them since 1998, but they have also knocked the Twins out of the postseason on multiple occasions, from Division Series to elimination games (Wild Card).
Historically, Minnesota has had a really hard time against the Yankees.
Other impressive records in regular season play since 1998 are the Los Angeles Dodgers against the lowly Pittsburgh Pirates, at 110-64; and the Los Angeles Angels against the Detroit Tigers (123-72).
After that, we have the Yankees for a third time in the top five.
This time, their success against the Baltimore Orioles comes to light in the form of numbers.
In the last 25 seasons, New York is 274-164 against Baltimore in regular season play.
The O’s have been a last-place team for much of that time, but still: the Yankees have a 110-win lead over them since 1998.
That’s mind-blowing.
