The New York Yankees are finally done with a brutal month of August that included a bunch of tough losses and injuries.
Now, they can turn the page to September, and when September comes around, that means it’s time for rosters to expand from 26 to 28 players.
One of the two players the Yankees have called up to the big-league club is their No. 3 ranked prospect and prized shortstop Oswald Peraza.
There has always been a ton of buzz surrounding Peraza.
Now, the Yankees have a chance to bring him up to the big-league club and give him his first opportunity.

Yanks Call Up Peraza
This is an exciting young player who has a chance to give the struggling Yankees a boost.
At Triple-A, the 22-year-old Peraza is hitting .259 with 19 home runs and 50 RBI.
Now, he has a chance to make a good first impression with the big-league club.
At the very least, the Yankees have a guy who can help strengthen their depth on the bench.
Along with Oswaldo Cabrera, the Yankees now have a few guys to go behind starting shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa.
The Yankees are in need of a spark given their recent struggles and Peraza could end up being that guy that they so desperately need to shake things up a little bit.
Now was the right time to make a few changes and calling up Peraza was the right move.
There was little more he could do in the minors before finally cracking the big-league roster.
The Yankees need to get themselves back on the right track in order to make some noise in the postseason.
We’ll see if adding Peraza can help change the vibe a little bit.
