The New York Yankees have been, for quite some time, the winningest and most successful baseball club in America.
They haven’t always been the most valuable one, though.
It wasn’t until the late-90s, when they won four World Series in a span of five years, that their value as a franchise took off.
Since that period in time, they haven’t looked back.
For a 26th straight season, the Bombers are MLB’s most valuable organization.

They are worth about $7.1 billion.
That’s an insane amount of money, but they have worked really hard on their brand for years.
Their fans love them, and their detractors love to hate them.
In any case, they are the most well-known franchise in baseball, and that only helps increase the value.
Although they haven’t been able to return to those late-90s glory days outside of an isolated 2009 World Series victory, the Yankees keep on selling lots of tickets, merchandise, food, drinks, memorabilia, and, of course, TV rights.
They make a lot of money, just like they are worth a lot.
To think that George Steinbrenner was actually part of an investor group that acquired the franchise for about $10 million.
Now, with inflation and how baseball is on the rise, it will be a matter of time before the Yankees are worth that much, just replacing the letter “m” with a “b”.
The Yankees haven’t won it all in a while, but they are always competitive and they haven’t had a negative record in decades.
They are going to try and take that extra step this year.
