The Golden State Warriors fought very hard on Thursday night against the Boston Celtics, although they were ultimately defeated by their recent Finals rivals.
Apparently, the game took an awful lot out of the Warriors’ roster.
The Warriors are sitting Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson in Cleveland tonight. Last game of a five-game road trip. Went into OT in Boston last night.

The reigning champions announced that quite a few of their best players will be sitting out of a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night.
Not only will Stephen Curry be benched due to a hip injury, but Draymond Green (toe), Andrew Wiggins (foot), and Klay Thompson (injury management) will also be out of the game.
Additionally, Andre Iguodala will not play too, making matters only worse.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Kuminga and JaMychal Green are listed as probable for the game.
Obviously, this is not good news for Golden State as only one of their starters from Thursday, Jordan Poole, is listed as a player for the game.
There are many people who expect the Warriors to lose their game to the fifth-seed Cleveland Cavaliers.
If they do fall, it’ll be yet another road loss against the champions.
They have been experiencing a slew of bad breaks when they are not at home and this injury report suggests they could continue.
After Thursday night’s tough loss to the Celtics, the Warriors have slid back down to 9th place in the West and are again under .500 with a 22-23 record.
Things won’t get much easier for them after Friday night’s game.
They will then take on the Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies before playing the Toronto Raptors and Oklahoma City Thunder.
They were showing flashes of their former glory during their game against Boston but those flashes might be halted because of the number of absences they’re facing.
