Fans of the Golden State Warriors were very excited for Tuesday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns.
That’s because the team’s hero, Stephen Curry, was set to return after being on the bench due to injury.
Although the Warriors have struggled a lot this year, there was hope that they could score a definitive victory against the Suns.
But it didn’t pan out that way.

The Warriors fell to the Suns, 125-113, and dropped below .500 again with a 20-21 record.
Meanwhile, the Suns now have a perfectly even 21-21 record despite a series of tough defeats.
There were points when the Suns were up by more than 20 points and the look on the faces of the Warriors’ bench said it all.
From Draymond Green to Klay Thompson, nearly every player looked defeated, disappointed, and dejected.
It was another rough moment for the defending champions, who have just not looked like themselves all season long.
The team is currently 8th in the West, right behind the Suns.
They still have a lot of time to turn things around and the chances of them making the Finals aren’t completely gone.
But it’ll be a tough road ahead.
Head coach Steve Kerr has repeatedly remarked about the team’s struggles and has admitted that they are not at the place they need to be.
Yet, they take two steps back for every one step forward.
They had a five-game winning streak at the end of December but they have now lost three in a row.
With the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, and Washington Wizards on their horizon, the Warriors have a chance to snag a few more wins.
They definitely need them.
Curry is back and ready so it’s time for the Warriors to start playing like champions again.
