The Larry O’Brien Trophy isn’t the only award that you are given when you win the NBA Finals.
Obviously, hundreds of headlines and stories are written about the winning group and they are celebrated as the best team in the league, at least for a year.
But they also get other rewards, such as visiting the White House and meeting with the president.

The Golden State Warriors finally received that honor on Tuesday, sticking around in DC so they could meet with President Biden, tour the White House, and surely pose for some photos.
Obviously, this isn’t the first time that Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and head coach Steve Kerr have visited the White House considering this is their fourth ring as a unit.
But will this be the last time they are there for a few years?
It’s possible because the chances of them returning to the championship currently are slim.
They still have time to turn things around but their prospects are diminishing after each surprising loss they suffer.
The other night, the Warriors beat the Washington Wizards, 127-118.
While that was cause for celebration, they have a tough road ahead.
The Warriors will be facing off against the Boston Celtics on Thursday, followed by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brooklyn Nets, and Memphis Grizzlies.
That is one of the hardest current schedules in the league and two of those games are on the road.
No matter what lies ahead, the Warriors have the right to celebrate their victory in the Finals last season and should enjoy their trip to the White House.
They have a difficult task ahead of them but they need to slow down and acknowledge all they have accomplished.
