The Golden State Warriors are currently the reigning champions of the NBA.
Meanwhile, it’s been years since the Detroit Pistons conquered the Finals.
The Warriors are also filled with several of the most well-known proven stars in the league while the Pistons have a bunch of young, untested players who are looking to get better.
These two NBA teams don’t have a lot in common but they do share one shocking similarity.
As noted by theScore Bet on Twitter, both the Pistons and Warriors have a 7-26 record on the road this season.

While this record isn’t that shocking for the Pistons since they are arguably the worst team in the league, it is surprising to see the Warriors struggle in such a way.
It’s been some time since a championship team has had the troubles that the Warriors do.
All season long, their inability to conquer while away from their home court has been a huge detriment.
One of the most surprising things about their road issues is that they have lost to some teams that all fans assumed they’d beat.
This makes it seem as if the Warriors have a bizarre mental block that prevents them from having confidence when they’re not in San Francisco.
Their home record is still very strong: 27-7.
But whenever they leave the Bay Area, they look like a totally different team.
This is something that the Warriors will need to remedy in the next few weeks.
Because of their strong home record, they are the fifth seed in the West and will surely be a part of the playoffs.
But they can’t expect things to go well if they don’t notch some wins on the road.
