The 2021 NBA rookies were some of the best the league has ever seen.
They all ended up seeing various levels of success within the association but the number of up-and-coming superstars already showing such promise after the first season is immense.
And now the NBA has had its say as the All-Rookie First Team was announced on Wednesday.
The All-Rookie First Team highlights the best of the best of the rooks and this year’s team is packed with some of the biggest names in the league.

The 2021-2022 NBA All-Rookie First Team is led by Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes of the Toronto Raptors.
Along with Barnes, the team has Cade Cunningham of the Detroit Pistons and Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets.
Both Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Franz Wagner of the Orlando Magic also made the list.
The collection of players was met with praise and joy…and some outrage too.
Not Getting Giddey
A few NBA fans online and on television were a little surprised by one name not on the list: Josh Giddey of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Giddey had a stellar season and even broke a few records (he’s now the youngest NBA star to post two straight triple-doubles) but he had to settle for the All-Rookie Second Team.
Giddey was joined by players such as Chris Duarte of the Indiana Pacers, Bones Hyland of the Denver Nuggets, and more.
Even with the few complaints made, the All-Rookie First Team is undeniably great.
In fact, the collection of players who make up the First and Second-Teams are some of the greatest the NBA has seen in years.
Each of these young men has been doing incredible work and they promise to keep it up.
It’s going to be an exciting few years for the league.
