The moment finally came on Wednesday night and fans of the Phoenix Suns were ready for it.
Wednesday gave everyone their first look at Kevin Durant playing for his new team and there was a lot of attention focused on how well he would play after his injury and how great the new squad would work as a unit.
It was just one game so the sample size is small but fans of the team should be very happy with what they saw.

Durant was solid with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks.
Meanwhile, Deandre Ayton scored 16 points and 16 rebounds while Devin Booker was lighting up the scoreboard with 37 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 rebounds.
And while Chris Paul only produced 2 points during the game, he did provide 11 assists.
Put together, the team’s new lineup led to a strong 105-91 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
They looked great and played well and fans are eager for more.
Durant only played for 26 minutes, a total that will surely change in the weeks ahead as he continues to get healthier and back into rhythm.
In the immediate future, he and his team will need to continue playing expertly as they have a few challenging opponents like the Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, and Milwaukee Bucks over the next couple of weeks.
While a win over the Hornets is appreciated, the upcoming games will prove even more challenging and even more important.
It goes without saying that expectations for the Suns are sky-high right now.
It’s terrific that Durant and his new team claimed victory on Wednesday night but they will need to keep it up for the rest of the year.
