The other day it was announced that the Cleveland Cavaliers and Kevin Love were finalizing a deal for a buyout, ending the many years that Love has spent with the team.
Although that was tough news for fans of the player, it could help him in the long run.
Love, who has fallen out of the rotation with the Cavs, would have the chance to sign with a new team after a buyout.

There is now reporting that says the Phoenix Suns are a contender to add Love when the buyout with Cleveland is complete.
The buyout deal with the Cavaliers is expected to be done before the end of the All-Star break so there is a good chance that Love could sign with the Suns – or any other team – within just a few weeks.
What would he bring to Phoenix?
This season, his average has been 8.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.
Those aren’t incredibly strong numbers but they have been earned during just 20 minutes of play.
Love doesn’t play as often as he used to and has officially become a bench player but he could add much-needed clutch plays and wonderful expertise to the Suns.
Plus, the Suns would be able to acquire him for a cheap price point.
Even if Phoenix isn’t the team to get Love, he will likely find another franchise to call home.
Before this season, Love was moving in an upward trajectory with his numbers and output.
But the Cavaliers didn’t have space for him on the roster and he lost his spot in the rotation, leading to this buyout.
He still has talent and something to prove.
Will he do that in Phoenix?
