The Pittsburgh Steelers have already made a plethora of moves during free agency.
Most of them have been on the defensive side of the ball, as they look to improve at a few spots.
After signing linebackers like Cole Holcomb and Elandon Roberts, the Steelers are looking for a pass rusher.
One player they are interested in is former Steeler Bud Dupree.
Dupree spent the first six seasons of his career as a member of the Steelers.
But the big issue with him is his health.
According to Josina Anderson, the Steelers have had a preliminary interest in bringing back Dupree.
I’m told the #Steelers have preliminary interest in bringing back Edge Rusher Bud Dupree if they deem “he’s healthy,” a source said. Dupree’s name has definitely come up in Pitt. We’ll see if they end up together once he sorts out his market following his release from Tennessee.

Dupree has played exactly 11 games each of the past three seasons.
His number of injuries have derailed his career to some extent, but he can still be effective.
The best season of Dupree’s career came in Pittsburgh.
In 2019, he recorded 11.5 sacks and had 16 tackles for loss.
If the Steelers can bring him back, it would most likely be as a third-down pass rusher.
Playing in the AFC North means the Steelers need to have a good defense.
Luckily, Mike Tomlin is one of the best coaches in the NFL.
His defenses are good every season, and he always seems to find a way to get the best out of his players.
It will be interesting to see if the Steelers go through will signing Dupree.
He can be a solid pass rusher opposite of All-Pro T.J. Watt.
