The Seattle Seahawks will finish their 2022 regular season without one of their key offensive playmakers.
Tyler Lockett is one of the Seahawks’ premier wide receivers and has suffered a broken bone in his finger.
#Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett broke a bone in his index finger tonight vs. the 49ers and is likely to miss time. A significant loss down the stretch for Seattle.

Lockett finished last night’s game with seven catches for 68 total yards in the Seahawks’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
With the Seahawks losing this game, they are currently on the outside looking in for the playoffs and will need to win without Lockett to give themselves a chance to make a postseason run.
The Lockett Effect
Lockett was the second-leading target-getter for the Seahawks with 99, trailing only DK Metcalf, who has 110.
When allowed to succeed, Lockett is one of the more sure-handed receivers in the NFL.
Lockett has converted 78 of his 99 targets into receptions and has the ninth-most receptions in the league.
Without Lockett, the Seahawks will have to rely on Metcalf, and turn to lesser-targeted receiver Marquise Goodwin.
The Seahawks’ next three opponents are the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, and Los Angeles Rams.
They will surely miss Lockett’s services in these games, as the Chiefs and the Jets are also in the playoff hunt.
Both the Chiefs and the Jets will be looking to capitalize on the absence of Lockett, and will likely try to do everything in their power to shut down Metcalf, forcing Geno Smith to distribute the ball to other pass-catching options.
Will the Seahawks be able to limp their way into the playoffs without Lockett at receiver?
