The Seattle Seahawks surprised many around the league in 2022, as they made the playoffs under Geno Smith’s first year as their starter.
Heading into the 2023 season, the Seahawks have taken a deep look at their roster, and have begun to make necessary cuts and additions.
They have already cut Shelby Harris, and it looks like the team isn’t stopping there.
The most recent causality for the Seahawks was Quinton Jefferson, as reported by Adam Schefter.
Update: The #Seahawks cut another DL, this time it's Quinton Jefferson who had 5.5 sacks last season, per @AdamSchefter

Even though Jefferson was an impactful player on the Seahawks’ defensive line in 2022, the team has ultimately decided to move on from him.
Ahead of the March 15th deadline, the Seahawks have $20 million in cap space.
This money will be allocated to incoming rookies, as well as any other players that the team decides to sign.
In the next several weeks, they will need to figure out how to replace Jefferson and Harris.
The incoming draft class has been said to be loaded with defensive talent.
If the Seahawks so choose, they should be able to add some impressive prospects to their roster, especially on their defensive line.
Will the Seahawks be able to replicate their success in 2023, making an even deeper playoff run?
